Revision Notes for the Respiratory Medicine Specialty Certificate Examination by Caroline Patterson and Meg Coleman. I found this immensely helpful in clarifying what the entry level of knowledge required was.
Oxford handbook of respiratory medicine. I read it cover to cover. It felt helpful.
Guidelines
- It is necessary to read and know well all of the bts guidelines. I did this.
On line question banks
- I did the RCP Respiratory SCE question bank, the questions on the BTS website, and the questions provided with the BTS Respiratory SCE course. Helpful.
Courses
- I went on the BTS Respiratory SCE course.
Result
Passed first time with an average score. In retrospect I wish I had given more little more time to knowing the guidelines really well because so many questions were drawn from these.
